President's Message
DAV has been making
a significant contribution to the society through spreading value-based education keeping
the ancient Vedic heritage in mind. In fact, it is the only organization which has set
high standards in education while maintaining a balance between Vedic wisdom and
modernity.
The organization runs and
manages over 720 educational institutions comprising of public schools, grants-in-aid
schools, colleges, institutes of professional education and research institutions all over
India and abroad. Recently, the organization has taken one step forward by initiating the
project of DAV University at Jalandhar, Punjab.
Presently, DAV has taken
some crucial steps in its pursuit of excellence. Some of these are: Modernization of
infrastructure in schools and colleges, Introducing technology in teaching-learning
process, Creating a network of people all over the globe through Alumni Foundation,
Strengthening Vedic virtues, etc.
While DAV feels proud of
its achievements, it is yet not contented. Its vision is to be crowned as the finest
educational organization in the world. Its mission is man-making, dispelling knowledge and
building Vedic values. Our success in this endeavor has the potential of making our
society free from prejudices and vices.
We, the members of DAV
fraternity, believe that the best way to bring a change is to initiate it. With this
belief, we have continually engaged over more than 125 years in a relentless endeavor to
grow and develop into a pioneer organization in the field of education.

It is exhilarating to notice that Suratgarh Thermal DAV School has taken this step, in form of
modernization of infrastructure in schools. Creation of 'School Website' is an initiation
towards modern technology. This will highlight the learners' potential and school's
relentless endeavour to grow and develop into a pioneer organization. I hope the same
optimism and hard work will keep the learners attain success in this crusade for
knowledge.

new leaf to institution’s identity as been remarked in the categories of good
institutions (Remarked by CBSE, New Delhi) who have followed CCE not as a formality but in
true spirit. The constructed site of Suratgarh Thermal DAV transcends it towards the hi-tech world of
information dissemination where just a click will keep one update.
The yeoman service provided by the institution is appreciable, conducting
educational programme and environ that enable the learners to nourish their potential for
higher achievement through strongly grounded Vedic & cultural fundamentals.

This profound statement redefines the true
purpose of learning. While traditional education focuses
heavily on degree attainment, technical competence, and
literacy, this philosophy asserts that knowledge is merely a
tool—character is the hand that guides it.
At its core, true education extends far beyond textbooks,
examinations, and degrees. While academic excellence equips
individuals with the tools to navigate the modern world, it is
character that determines how those tools are used. As the
timeless adage reminds us: "The end of education is
character."
In today’s fast-changing world, true success is measured not
just by academic achievements or technical skill, but by the
strength of one’s character. While knowledge equips the mind,
character guides the heart. We believe that the ultimate goal
of education is to mold individuals who are not only
intellectually competent, but also compassionate, honest, and
socially responsible.
